System Down for a Bit
Well, we have been getting great feedback on the site. We really appreciate all the positive comments. Sweet on Geeks was launched June 5th and already we have members in 30+ states and 4 countries. Thank you all for your patience during our growing pain phase. We have shut down at the moment to have a push of new code and to remove some non-functioning product. We are trying to provide an honest, non-corporate, fun site for our fellow Geeks. We will be back up soon and look forward to providing you with the best site possible. Customer Service Pledge
Recently the online dating community has been scrutinized due to sleazy tactics aimed at increasing membership. We here at SOG had a meeting to discuss our goals and marketing strategies with regards to our own customer service practices. We have decided that in order to avoid any questions regarding our business ethics that we would simply NOT do anything unethical. We WILL NOT create fake profiles in order to entice members. We WILL NOT claim to have relationship or matching expertise. We WILL NOT falsely inflate our membership numbers. We WILL NOT send you e-mail notifications stating that your profile has been viewed unless it actually has been viewed. We WILL NOT ever implement any billing practices or charges without fair warning. Billing WILL NOT be implemented until we have reached a fair number of real human being members so that our community is solid and fun to participate in. We here at SOG feel very strongly about providing a good product and good customer service. Social Networking services are under scrutiny because they have abused the public faith and that is something that we will never do to our fellow geeks.
