Last week (or so) we collaborated with Brave New World Comics in LA to host another awesome Geek Singles Night. Now the awesomeness of these events can be seen from space but as if that weren't enough.....CBS Sunday Morning was going to be there to film a segment about Geekery and all that that implies. Mo Rocca himself would be there to help host and mingle with the peeps. His awesomeness can be seen from space as well. This was so very exciting that it motivated me to get on a plane from Florida and James to get on a plane in Boston to meet in LA and meet the gang at Brave New World in person. Only one of us got there and it wasn't me. James got to party like a rock star, as evidenced above, while I sat on a plane on the runway for 4 hot hours due to weather. Then, to add insult to injury, the plane broke so the airline just shipped my sad, uncool, un-west coast butt back home. But in the end it was all good. James was there to represent SweetonGeeks and he did us proud. Portlyn and Atom of Brave New World threw another kick-ass event and I think Mo Rocca had a great time! Word on the street is that the producers of this geek segment met with the cast of Big Bang Theory and passed along our T-shirts. If I see Jim Parsons (aka Sheldon) wearing a SweetonGeeks T-shirt I will bliss out and there will be no living with me.
