Geeks are intelligent people that passionately pursue intellectual growth through obscure media or activities. Examples of geeks' pursuits include role playing games, comic books, and trading card games. Although these people have marketable skills in the workforce, geeks are often times shy and reserved about dating and romantic pursuits. Jester's Playhouse, the premier hobby and gaming store of South Jersey, is hosting a "Singles Night at the Playhouse" event in partnership with Sweet on Geeks.
The party begins with highly entertaining ice breaking games that promote social interaction. The featured games are Got'em, Flux, Munchkin, Jungle Speed, and Bacchus Banquet. Movies will be featured in the theater room running simultaneous to the games for those who enjoy a good film. The featured films of the evening are "Scott Pilgrim vs The World" and "Sixteen Candles". At nine thirty live performances from local bands will begin. The performing artists are Bootie and the Beast, Louchious, and The Clique. The evening's events wraps up with a DJ playing the latest hit songs and dance music from ten o'clock until midnight. Food and beverages will be available throughout the evening. Door prizes and gifts will be awarded throughout the night as well. Best of all "Singles Night at the Playhouse" is free to attend. Semi casual dress code will be enforced. Sneakers and sandals will not be permitted.
